MEET THE TEAM

Born and raised in Mississippi, Lyndsey began her career in private insurance contracting & provider relations before transitioning into regulatory compliance. Those positions and experiences have been a strong asset to her legal practice.

Lyndsey was graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi College School of Law where she served as President of the Health Law Society and was recognized in the first set of students earning a Certificate in Health Law. Upon graduation, Lyndsey began working for a boutique health law firm while completing her post-doctoral LLM in Health Law & Policy from Loyola University Chicago. Lyndsey is a Managing Member and the primary attorney for Blackston Consulting PLLC specializing in Contractual Matters, Professional Board Matters, Compliance Planning & Implementation, Risk Management Analysis, Business Start Ups, Business Consulting, and Certificate of Need Applications, in addition to most other general legal matters.

Lyndsey is a member of the Junior League of Jackson, the Mississippi College Health Law Advisory Board, a member of several 501(c)(3) organizational boards, a volunteer for The McCLean Fletcher Grief Support Center, and sits on the Petit Bois Homeowners Board. Lyndsey is currently in the process of completing her national certification in Health Care Compliance.

“Dr. B” may have been born in South Carolina, but he was raised to be a Rebel in Oxford, Mississippi. Dr. B loved Ole Miss so much he ended up with two (2) bachelor of science degrees, a Medical Degree, and Doctorate of Jurisprudence before he decided he had enough. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and boasts over 25 years of experience in Emergency Medicine.

Joe

Dr. B completed his residency at Tulane in New Orleans before moving to Jackson to establish his practice in internal medicine. After serving in some administrative roles - including time as the Medical Director for Health Systems of Mississippi and

UnitedHealthcare - Joe went back to his clinical roots and currently practices emergency medicine full time in addition to providing medical-legal consultation services focusing mostly on medical record review and pre-trial case analysis. A copy of his Curriculum

Dr. B is involved with the health care community both during and outside of working hours. He sits on the Board of Directors for Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency (MORA), The Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Disability Appeals Committee, and the Domestic Violence Task Force run by the Mississippi Department of Health.
